Individual Children - We are all interesting individuals with our own strengths and challenges, but together our inclusive culture empowers all of us to connect, to belong and to grow. It brings us together in ways that make us all special.

 

At Edale Stepping Stones we celebrate our differences and recognise that is our greatest strength as a Nursery community. We welcome all and adopt an individualised way to learning with our children and families to embrace a personalised approach to education in line with the Montessori Approach. As practitioners, we endeavour to ensure each child is appreciated for who they are and we value them as entirely unique.. The culture in our community is created by individuals coming together, inspiring us to try new things, listening to and trusting each other, collaborating, having the courage to share and explore together. We work to facilitate children's independence by providing enriching opportunities and supporting children to acquire practical life skills from an early age, such as dressing themselves, self-care and encouraging autonomy in their own learning and play. We strongly believe this promotes independence, self-esteem and confidence.
